Brazing is the process for joining heated metals by using a ‘filler’ material that melts at a lower temperature and so protects the integrity of the original metals. The ‘filler’ alloy material forms a brazed joint that is more reliable and is widely used in high temperature engineering environments.
Fluxes are compounds that cleans the joints of oxides and other impurities before the brazing process can begin.
